KLAS Motorsports and Andy J Are Ready for an Alabama Getaway – Hook’d Solutions Returns as Sponsor for the #71 KLAS Motorsports Entry at Talladega

So far during the 2026 ARCA Menards Series season, the KLAS Motorsports team has been very competitive. The year got started with a top ten finish at Daytona International Speedway (FL). Since then, there have been top three, top five and top ten efforts. However, if a battery could fail or a car directly ahead could blow an oil line, the negative has happened for Andy Jankowiak and the #71 team. This has meant that the final results have not reflected the effort of the team.

This Saturday, an Alabama getaway could change that. The team would be pleased by a strong finish at Talladega Superspeedway (AL) and past results at the largest track on the schedule indicate that the chances of success are good. Jankowiak finished fourth in that race last season and had a shot to win the race.

“We have had really good speed all year long,” said Jankowiak. “A few little things out of our control have hindered our results. We had a little cloud over us at Kansas. Talladega would be a great place to shake that off. We are looking for a good run there.”

Whether it has been at Talladega or Daytona, Jankowiak and the KLAS team usually can be found in the lead pack at the largest tracks on the schedule.

“Plate tracks are where this all got started for the team and I,” said Jankowiak. “It’s a lot of fun and we keep putting ourselves in position for something great to happen.”

The KLAS Motorsports team will be heading to their adopted Midwestern home of Kansas Speedway this week for the running of the Tide 150 ARCA Menards Series race. The event will take place on Saturday and will be the first of two trips to the track in 2026 for the #71 team and driver Andy Jankowiak. “This is the only track that we (as a team) go to twice during the year,” said Jankowiak. “We have gotten used to going there and know what to expect. We are going back with the same car that we have been running there.”

Jankowiak has made seven starts at Kansas Speedway and more than half have resulted in a top ten finish. That does not tell the entire story of his affinity for the track, though. In the fall 2024 race, he was battling for the lead with Corey Day when contact was made, and Jankowiak ended up bouncing up into the wall. He still finished seventh. The fall 2025 race went even better for Jankowiak and the KLAS Motorsports team. They were contenders until a tire went flat on the final scheduled lap of the race.

“I really like Kansas Speedway,” said Jankowiak. “It is a fun track and it is very racy. You can run up against the wall, in the middle or in the bottom groove. The track challenges you to try different lines to find where the most grip is.” “Every time we go to Kansas, we seem to make gains and improve,” said KLAS Managing Partner Andy Seuss. “We have definitely been in the hunt there and we feel like we can be a little bit better this time. We go there twice a year and that makes it easier to build a notebook.”

The #71 will be adorned with the colors of Sbarro, the Original XL New York Pizza-by-the-Slice, at Kansas Speedway as the primary sponsor for the Tide 150. The iconic pizza chain’s sponsorship returns to KLAS Motorsports, bigger than before – which turns a hungry driver into a happy driver. “It is really cool to have Sbarro involved with this team,” said Jankowiak. “We have partnered with them for a few years, and we love that they see the value in our relationship.That speaks volumes for what we are doing here at KLAS Motorsports. Plus, I love their product. So many times when I’m traveling up and down the (New York) Thruway, I stop and get a slice or two.”

Bad Battery Drains a Top Three Effort Away for KLAS Motorsports at Phoenix – Team Preps a Fast #71 as Jankowiak Moves Up Through the Field

The first trip out west of 2026 for the KLAS Motorsports team was a heartbreaker. The team
fielded the #71 entry for Andy Jankowiak in the General Tire 150 ARCA Menards Series race at
Phoenix International Raceway (AZ) on Thursday and were in a strong position to post their
best finish ever until a part failure out of their control left them fighting to just make it to the
finish.

KLAS Motorsports brought a new car in their stable to Phoenix and had worked hard in the
weeks leading up to the event to fine tune it. Their efforts were rewarded in the first practice
session when Jankowiak was able to post the sixth best lap of 40 entries. He backed that up
with a sixth-place qualifying lap.

The race started out even better. Jankowiak conserved his car and maintained his track position
early on. Then he really got going in the middle stages of the race. After a spirited battle with
Nitro Motorsports driver Thomas Annunziata, Jankowiak placed the #71 solidly in the third
position.

Then the #71 car suddenly shut down. The culprit was a rare battery failure, likely due to an
internal short.

The #71 team still did not give up. They changed the battery and only lost three laps, but this
put Jankowiak outside the top twenty. He was able to advance as much as possible in the late
stages of the race and finished 18 th .

“I am super proud of my KLAS Motorsports team,” said Jankowiak. “They brought a winning car
to this one and we had things rolling. I’m just so proud to be the guy behind the wheel. We will
shake this off and go on. I felt like we had a real shot and I’m pumped up for the rest of the
year.”

Phoenix.

KLAS Motorsports Leads Andy Jankowiak to Phoenix with a Fresh Car – #71 Driver Has Been Honing His Skills for the General Tire 150

The 2026 ARCA Menards Series schedule got started with its biggest race of the year last month at Daytona International Speedway (FL), but now the true grind of the season starts for KLAS Motorsports and Andy Jankowiak – the driver of the team’s #71 entry. This Thursday, the team will compete on the one-mile tri-oval at Phoenix International Raceway (AZ) in the General Tire 150.

The KLAS Motorsports team had a milestone race at Daytona by fielding two entries and collecting top ten finishes with both. Glen Reen placed fifth in the #07 car and Jankowiak placed tenth in the #71. Still, Jankowiak was not satisfied. Instead of celebrating the Daytona success, he immediately put his mind on the Phoenix race.

“I’m excited to go home, get on the sim and prep for Phoenix,” said Jankowiak before even leaving the pits after the Daytona race. “We will get after that one.”

Jankowiak stayed true to his promise. For the past three weeks, he has been laser-focused on the Phoenix race. He has worked with the team in the North Carolina shop of KLAS Motorsports to get ready for Phoenix while honing his craft online with simulated racing as often as he gets the chance to.

“I’ve won about 12 iRacing (ARCA) events at Phoenix in the past week,” reported Jankowiak on Monday afternoon. “The car that we are bringing to Phoenix is a new one for us and as I was in the shop, I noticed that it is set up a lot like the iRacing car. Everything, even the brake bias (knob), is in the identical spot.”

The car that KLAS Motorsports is bringing to Phoenix is one that they acquired from the former Rev Racing team, who won the 2022 and 2024 ARCA Menards Series championships. Once they got it to their own shop, the KLAS team adapted it to their specifications and now they have it well prepared for Phoenix.

“The team has worked hard for Phoenix,” said Jankowiak. “I got to work on the car as much as they would let me. (Crew Chief) Mike (Dayton) even told me that I did a good job a few times!

“This car has some history to it. It’s an older car, but I love keeping older cars racing and making them work. I’m a big believer in cars that have a little magic to them.”

Harassing that magic will take some focus.

“Immediately in practice at Phoenix, we are going to have to start building a new notebook with this car,” said Jankowiak. “But the weather looks good and we should be able to have all of our scheduled practice, so we will see how we stack up. There is a stacked field of ARCA and ARCA West cars for this race so there will be nowhere to hide with all of the good cars. It is going to be a lot of fun.”

KLAS Motorsports Places Two Cars in Top Ten at – Daytona 2026 ARCA Menards Series Season Begins with a Fifth Place Finish for Glen Reen and a Tenth for Andy Jankowiak

KLAS Motorsports had a milestone race on Saturday in the ARCA General Tire Daytona 200 at Daytona International Speedway (FL). They started the 2026 ARCA Menards Series season in the year’s biggest race by earning two top ten finishes. Glen Reen finished fifth in the #07 New Wave Bath entry while Andy Jankowiak finished tenth in the #71 Hook’d Solutions entry.

It was only the second time in team history when two cars were fielded in one race. Both times, the team placed both cars in the top ten of the finishing order. This also occurred last season on the road course at Watkins Glen International.

To do so on the biggest stage of stock car race though was extra special to the young team.

“It’s pretty cool,” said KLAS Motorsports Managing Partner Andy Seuss. “It is a really good position to be in when there were 50 cars that showed up. It wasn’t the easiest of weekends. We knew that we had good cars and we both practiced in the top ten. Mike Dayton and the guys have been doing a great job with these cars for years and they keep making them better.”

“It was a great team day,” said Reen. “People know that KLAS is here. When you show up with two cars that run that well, it is great.”

Jankowiak, the team’s senior driver, was nearly identical in his praise for the team.

“It was a good team day,” said Jankowiak. “Everything going forward is good. I’m so happy for Glen. It’s great to see him up front.”

Jankowiak was not the only one happy for Reen.

“It was really cool,” said Reen. “I got in after the race and checked my phone and there were 175 text messages waiting for me! Carl Edwards and Bob Polverari were two of them. Carl has done more than he needs to over the past few days to help me with this race.”

The top ten finishes might have looked seamless if you watched the live broadcast of the event on FOX, but the results did not come easy.

“The biggest hurdle was just getting in the race with the group qualifying,” said Seuss. “We had speed in our cars, but the situation with the groups we were in was challenging. We qualified both cars though and then we probably played it a little too cautious at the beginning of the race. You don’t know what these superspeedway races will be like and in the past two years, we got bit in the first 20 laps.”

Reen was philosophical about the approach.

“You’ve got to make it to the end to have a shot at it,” said Reen.

Even with the day going as well as it did, the KLAS Motorsports team is made up of racers and they wanted to do even better.

“I want to win for these guys and I’ve got one less chance to do that now than when we started the day,” said Jankowiak. “We’ve been close here, it just seems like whichever path we choose here seems to bite us.

“We had a plan to be cautious and maybe it wasn’t the right plan for today. Every other time, we would get smashed up in the first ten laps. We probably needed to be more aggressive early, but we were all on board for saving the car and getting to the end. This was the one time that the ARCA guys figured out how to run three wide, block each other and not wreck. We just ran out of laps.”

“I was more on defense and Andy was more on offense,” said Reen. “When we come back, maybe we will have a slightly different strategy, but you’ve got to be there at the end to have a shot at it.”

KLAS Motorsports will be at Daytona International Speedway (FL) this week for their fourth ARCA Menards Series race at the famed superspeedway. This time though, the team will be fielding a second entry for the first time at the track.

Andy Jankowiak returns to KLAS and will drive the #71 Hook’d Solutions entry while Glen Reen will make his Daytona stock car debut in the #07 entry.

The KLAS Motorsports team has been hard at work all winter to prepare for the season opening ARCA Menards Series event.

“It’s been quite an undertaking and there are a lot of people led, by our crew chief Mike Dayton, who have put in a lot of work to make this happen,” said KLAS Motorsports Managing Partner Andy Seuss. “It means a lot to have the support of both drivers and all of the partners that they bring to the team. It’s humbling. We put a lot of pressure on ourselves to perform and the test that we had was very promising.”

KLAS Motorsports recorded two top ten finishes in their three previous starts at Daytona with Jankowiak. In each event, they fielded a racecar that was quick enough to contend in the lead pack, but luck has not always been on their side there. With tight pack racing being a given at Daytona, one wrong move by any competitor can lead to trouble for multiple other drivers. The KLAS team has not been immune to that in the past, but they hope to avoid it this time.

“Daytona is always a crapshoot for so many reasons,” said Seuss. “We’ve got the good part down, now we just have to be lucky.”

“It’s tough out there when you have 40 cars on the track,” said Jankowiak. “There will be cars out there that you don’t want to be around, so it does come down to luck a little bit. We can just try to give ourselves space when we can get it, we can try to protect the car. I think that will be the key in getting to the end. It’s about being patiently aggressive and knowing when to back off and when to force the issue.

“To get away from the back cars, you have to make some moves. But every time you make a move, you take a chance. You flip that coin every time. Once they start crashing around you, there’s not much that you can do.”

Meanwhile, Reen is about to experience a dream come true to be able to race at Daytona.

“It was 20 years ago that I started racing SK Lights (Modifieds),” said Reen. “If I could go back in time and tell my younger self that I’d be racing at Daytona now, I could only imagine the look on my younger self’s face! It has taken a lot of hard work to get to this point, but that is paying off. Every loss, every crash, every defeating moment has been worth it and makes a high like this even better.”

Jankowiak and Reen will also have the ability to draft with each other in this race, which is a new experience for KLAS Motorsports and could be the key to a pair of strong finishes.

“That will help,” said Jankowiak. “That will come into play more near the end of the race. We will see what happens. Last year, there was a lot of two groove racing and sometimes you can get boxed in doing that. When it comes down to ten laps to go, we know that we can both work together.”

“It’s a great feeling to know that you will have a teammate who is loyal and who you can work together with out there,” said Reen. “Working with Andy will push me to do better. Our goal is to give KLAS their best finish ever. The team deserves that much more than either of the drivers. There has been so much hard work that has gone into this race and now it’s time to capitalize on that.”
