KLAS Motorsports planned out a healthy schedule of ARCA Menards Series events for the 2025 season with driver Andy Jankowiak driving the #73 entry. Their focus was on quality and not quantity, which led to four top ten finishes in six starts so far for the team.
This weekend’s Lime Rock Park 100 in Connecticut was not on their schedule. However, a collaboration with longtime Modified racer Glen Reen of Wilbraham, Massachusetts has changed that plan.
Reen will drive the #73 NewWaveHome.com entry for KLAS Motorsports in Saturday’s Lime Rock ARCA race. The car has been prepared in the North Carolina shops of the team. Jankowiak will return to the seat of the #73 when their planned schedule for the season resumes later this summer.
“We didn’t have Lime Rock on our schedule as part of our original plan,” said KLAS Motorsports managing partner Andy Seuss. “During our summer break, we were planning on catching up with work on the cars, cleaning up the hauler and things like that. Then this opportunity to team up with Glen came up and we said, ‘let’s do it!’”
Reen, Seuss and Jankowiak share a common bond as they are all veteran drivers of Modified racing in the Northeast. That connection led to this deal being put together.
“It’s a dream come true,” said Reen. “When you get a bunch of Modified racers together, it’s always a good time.”
“For the past week or so, we have been thrashing on the car to get it ready,” said Seuss. “Glen brings a lot of resources. That will help us help ourselves in the future. We are looking ahead to Watkins Glen when Andy J will be back in the car.
“We are just really excited to see the KLAS Motorsports banner out there for another race. Glen has a little bit of a home track advantage. We have a lot of reasons to look forward to Lime Rock. It should be a positive experience.”
Although Reen is primarily known for his Modified career and a pair of starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, he also has road racing experience in both a spec Miata and in the NASCAR ARCA East Series. It is a discipline of racing that he really enjoys.
“I love road racing,” said Reen. “It might not be as much of a spectator sport, but it is a fun driver’s sport. In oval track racing, you have four corners. In road racing, you have eight… ten… twelve… fifteen… depending on what track you are on. You have elevation changes and a lot more going on. So I’m really looking forward to having fun playing with one of these cars.”
NewWaveHome.com will be the primary sponsor of the #73 at Lime Rock. Dak’s Market and Acacia Energy will also appear on the car for the race.
The Lime Rock 100 is scheduled to start at 4pm ET and will be televised live on Fox Sports 1 and on the Fox Sports App.
