The growth of KLAS Motorsports continues as Andy Jankowiak recently put the #73 out front at Talladega
Superspeedway (AL) to lead their first laps in ARCA Menards Series competition. This week, KLAS and
Jankowiak return to Kansas Speedway where they previously tied their record for a best career finish
together in ARCA competition – fourth. The team has now finished in that position three times – at
Talladega last week, at Kansas last September and at Michigan in 2023.
It’s a good time to raise that bar even higher and Friday night’s Tide 150 at Kansas might be the perfect
place to do it.
“I don’t know that the track owes us one, but we would sure like to go get a victory there,” said Jankowiak.
“We were strong there and had a chance last year. We are getting even better on the intermediate tracks.
We are at a point now where if we can stay in the top few cars and make the right moves, we are capable
of sneaking a victory.”
With Talladega fresh in their minds, the team is even more pumped up than usual heading to Kansas.
“It was definitely encouraging, and we are all chomping at the bit to finish it off and get a win,” said
Jankowiak. “We have been in the mix a few times now and we really want to get that monkey off our
back and go win.”
DAK’s Market and Whelen will be the primary sponsors of the #73 at Kansas Speedway.
Automotive Consultants of Ithaca, Florida Safety Systems and Yukon Creek Sportsman Club are all
among the marketing partners for the event.
The Tide 150 ARCA Menards Series event at Kansas Speedway is scheduled for 8pm ET on Friday, May
9th. It will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 1 and on the Fox Sports App.
